Making pizzas, throwing dough, popping corks, wearing hats. My friend Tully has an amazing joie de vivre I’ve always admired. Always up for an adventure, loves costume parties (or as she calls them, ‘fancy dress’), you walk into her home and it’s always full of treasures and beautiful artwork she has created or curated. A true artist.

With her boys being teens it was important we find an activity to do for the photos. Helps loosen them up and gives them something to do!

You’ll see that I left in some photos where not everyone is smiling wide and looking thrilled. And that’s okay. I like to keep photos that reveal the truth in the moment that’s being lived. Teenagers aren’t always wanting to take photos for a variety of reasons. But I love that Mom just embraces him anyways. The more you hug, the more you love, these tough nuts will crack.
