Family photo sessions during the winter tend to slow down. I think most people think of going outside when it’s comes to family photos but this session is proof that an indoor winter photo session can be amazing! There are a few benefits to choosing to do your family photo session indoors.

• No need to worry about the weather!
• You can choose whatever you want to wear (again, not weather dependent) AND you can even do an outfit change if you want.
• Kids will be comfortable and you’ll have all the snacks, bribes at your disposal.
• You can’t forget anything if you’re at home!
• Your photos will go with your home decor. This is something not often thought of but if displaying your photos on the wall, it’s nice for the colours to compliment your home.
• Privacy. Not everyone cares about this but when we do photos in a public place there will be others around. In your home you can be as goofy as you want without any self consciousness.
• You get photos of your home! Yes, 30 years from now you’ll all laugh at the hideous sofa 🙂
• And lastly, if you want to include your pet, it is much simpler if your photos are at home. People definitely bring their dogs to outdoor family sessions but I’ve never had a cat join us. If we do your family photos at your home, all the animals get a turn at pics!
