When you think of some of your most treasured photos what do you think of? Is it the one of your family dressed in matching sweaters at the mall studio smiling at the camera? Or is it a random photo taken at home with you and your sibling curled up on the couch giggling, you hiding under a blanket while Mom’s laughing or Dad feeding you breakfast with food all over your face? Some of my most treasured photos are definitely not technically perfect, they’re not at a studio and many of them don’t even have either subject smiling. What they do have is a moment captured that resonates with me. The ugly clothes, the hideous furniture, I love it all and these are the photos I would miss the most if ever I lost them.
With Father’s Day quickly approaching I want to see your favourite photo of you and your Dad. It can be taken when you were a baby, a child or even an adult. Email them to info@sweetgingerphotography.com by Saturday June 12th and tell me why it means something to you. I’ll post everyone’s submissions on Sunday June 13th and my blog readers will have one week to vote on their favourite photo.
