I met such a sweet family today. This little boy is truly loved so much. He was SO camera happy! Everywhere I went when taking his photo his eyes followed me – and aren’t those eyes GORGEOUS? Wow.

This family has a beautiful spirit, I love being around them. You know the kind of people you instantly feel comfortable with? That’s them. And their daughter – yes, she has inherited this spirit. She is on the go. Now I know most people say that about their toddlers but no, she is REALLY on the go! I have photographed many kids and I’ve never had to move so much as I did with her. She is one of the happiest little girls I’ve met as well and that’s always a good testament to Mom & Dad. I was so happy to photograph them again as I photographed Mom & Dad’s previous pregnancy and baby photos. I can’t wait to share their new little girl’s photos with you, she is absolutely perfect – Happy Monday everyone!

Every so often I like to post product photos. Choose your photographer not only based on their photos but also based on the products they offer. When the session is done this is what you’ll be left with, why not have it be something beautiful you can display? My design style is fairly simple with my albums and image boxes. I want something that looks clean and contemporary. I prefer not to use trendy fonts or frames as I’d like you to be able to display your products now and 5, 10 years from now without it looking dated.
Below are photos of the Image Box. The Image Box is what you receive when you purchase the digital files. This box will contain a cd of your full resolution files as well as a 5×7 print of each edited session image (approximately 30-35). I love displaying my image box on my coffee table. My son almost daily looks through it and picks out his favourite photos. We have a small easel that I switch out the photos on and he will pick his photo of the day and set it on the easel. Let’s be honest. How often do we sit down and look through our photo albums? Not nearly enough. By using products that are accessible to children, we don’t have to worry when they want to flip through the album or grab photos from the Image Box. I look at my photos so much more because my kids love looking at them too. That’s always a good thing

What can I say? I loved this session. Mom & Dad were some of the happiest parents I have witnessed. So happy in fact that it brought tears to their eyes as they were looking at their new baby girl which of course brought tears to my eyes. Little known fact: I pretty much tear up at every newborn session – whether you see me or not, I usually try and turn my back, pretend I’m adjusting something, moving a blanket… But yes, the energy, the aura, that ‘thing’ that surrounds a new life is just overwhelming and ALWAYS gets me.
