In January I held 3 Sweet Shots Workshops. Let me just say that I enjoyed them even more than I thought I would. It was great meeting the Mom’s, getting together for a few hours teaching them about what I’m passionate about and seeing the lightbulbs go off in their heads as they start to realize what goes into a beautiful photo. I have been asked if I will hold more of these workshops and the answer is definitely YES. I cannot give you specific dates yet but they will likely be in late spring/early summer. If you’d like to be put on the waiting list please email me at info@sweetgingerphotography.com. I would highly recommend this as my previous workshops sold out in 1 day and I already have 10 people on the waiting list for the next ones. You’ll be notified prior to me announcing the dates on Facebook and my blog so you’ll have priority to sign up.
I left my attendees asking them to shoot solely in Manual for an entire week. Now I know some professional photographers who don’t even shoot manual. It’s hard. You need to know what you’re doing but I think it’s the best way to learn. I then asked them to send me their photos from the week for feedback. Well I was blown away by so many of the photos I received. You have to realize that the majority of these Mom’s had only ever shot using Auto. To go from Auto to Manual in one day and produce photos actually exposed correctly is amazing. I was giddy every time I received an email from a participant showing me what they produced. Here are just a few examples of the photos taken by the participants after my workshop.
