I am hoping to hear some good news from this couple very soon! Their baby is due New Year’s Day. How fun. I hope they get to be Calgary’s first baby of the year, pretty sure you win a prize of some sort and bragging rights 🙂
We are gearing up for New Year’s Eve here. We’ll be spending it at home with the kids so I’ve been looking for some fun ideas to celebrate. In the last few years we pretend 7:00pm is midnight so the kids can countdown with us. I found a few other fun ideas of ways to celebrate on Pinterest (of course!). The first is making homemade noisemakers – as I’m typing this I realize how silly this idea may be, I have two boys that can make plenty of noise on their own! The second idea is a Countdown box which has an activity for each hour leading up to midnight (or 7pm in our case). And then for a New Year’s Day activity I saw this awesome pin on how to get your Christmas stuff organized once and for all. Currently we shove everything in those plastic bins and let it explode on us when we open it the next year…not quite organized. If you’re on Pinterest, you can follow me here. Happy New Year to everyone!
