In mid-August I had the opportunity to attend a workshop by Steve Carty in Toronto. Steve has photographed numerous celebrities including Kanye West, Sandra Oh, Pharell and my personal favourite Jian Ghomeshi (go CBC!) and his workshop was to be focused on fashion photography. I’m obviously not a fashion photographer but I love expanding my horizons and trying new things, I wanted to see a real veteran at work, just be a sponge and absorb anything I could from him. Everything I learned at this workshop can be directly translated to my work here in Calgary with babies and families. Steve really made us work hard and only expected the best from us and I gladly took on the challenge. Here are just a few of the photos I took during that weekend.
