Merry Christmas everyone! We just returned from a few night’s stay at the Delta Kananaskis Lodge which, if you have kids, you must go. Only an hour away and they really cater to families. Despite a few of the kids being sick we were still able to do lots of fun activities. Sledding of course, skating on the pond (with the free hot chocolate they give out), boys got in a hockey game, Dad’s got in a late night hockey game then beers at the pub after, buffet dinners with bouncy castles and a magician to keep the kids occupied, lots of crafts, playroom which was especially good for my 2 year old, magic show, swimming and smores. I could go on but needless to say there is an abundance of fun there and we have a blast every time we go.
Thankfully it wasn’t as cold there as it was when I took the photos for the session below. I think we were at -20 degrees celcius for this session – yikes! I could not feel my toes for 3 hours after the session and I really thought maybe I had done some damage. Was it worth it? Yes, for sure. A Mom to be in a winter wonderland.
